Mix Vege Bun
for iftar yesterday :D alhamdulillah....
MIX VEGE BUNS
- (A)
500gm high protein flour / bread flour
100gm sugar ( I use 75gm only)
1 tsp salt
30gm milk powder
4 tsp instant dry yeast - (B)
250ml water
1 egg (lightly beaten) - (C)
40gm butter
40gm shortening
***( you can use 80gm butter or 80gm shortening)
Method :
- Mix well the ingrediants in (A)
- Add (B) into (A) and knead till smooth
- Add (C) and continue kneading until smooth and shiny and the dough does not stick to your hand
- Leave to prove for 30 - 40 mins
- Punch down the dough to let the air out
- Divide the dough according to the weight you wish (I make it into 60gm). Make into balls and leave to rest for 10mins
- Shape it and then sprinkles with mix vegetables on top
- Leave to prove for 40 mins - 1 hour
- Pipe some mayonaise and tomato sauce
- Bake till golden brown
