Mix Vege Bun



for iftar yesterday :D alhamdulillah....


MIX VEGE BUNS



  • (A)
    500gm high protein flour / bread flour
    100gm sugar ( I use 75gm only)
    1 tsp salt
    30gm milk powder
    4 tsp instant dry yeast

  • (B)
    250ml water
    1 egg (lightly beaten)

  • (C)
    40gm butter
    40gm shortening
    ***( you can use 80gm butter or 80gm shortening)

Method :



  1. Mix well the ingrediants in (A)

  2. Add (B) into (A) and knead till smooth

  3. Add (C) and continue kneading until smooth and shiny and the dough does not stick to your hand

  4. Leave to prove for 30 - 40 mins

  5. Punch down the dough to let the air out

  6. Divide the dough according to the weight you wish (I make it into 60gm). Make into balls and leave to rest for 10mins

  7. Shape it and then sprinkles with mix vegetables on top

  8. Leave to prove for 40 mins - 1 hour

  9. Pipe some mayonaise and tomato sauce

  10. Bake till golden brown
